    Amalia Ramirez Carranza, age 85of Uvalde, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 Uvalde, Texas. Amalia Ramirez Carranza was born in Morelos Coahuila, Mexico on May 12, 1935 to Gumecindo Ramirez and Encarnacion De La Cruz. She is preceded in death by both parents; Gumecindo Ramirez and Encarnacion De La Cruz Ramirez, husband, Otilio Carranza, brothers; Cipriano Ramirez, Jesus Ramirez, Benito Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Juan Ramirez, sisters; Zenaida Chavarria. Amalia Ramirez Carranza will be missed most by her loving sons; Juan Roberto (San Juana) Carranza, Jose Martin Carranza, Otilio (Norma) Carranza Jr., all of Uvalde, Texas, Rolando Carranza (Cecilia Perez) of Arizona, daughters; Graciela Ramirez, of San Antonio, Texas, Herlinda Martinez (Jose Jr.) of Uvalde, Texas, sisters; Guadalupe (Lorenzo) Santiago, of Dallas, Texas, Esperanza (Eloy) Jimenez, of Illinois. 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. 4 great-great grandchildren. The Carranza Family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 75 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services. Honorary Pallbearers; Kristian Carranza, Adrian Carranza, Ricardo Garcia, Jonathan Martinez, all of Uvalde, Texas. Gentlemen serving as Pallbearers; Jose Martinez III, Otilio Carranza III, Juan Carranza, John Thomas Garcia, Jose Martin Carranza Jr., Roland Carranza, all of Uvalde, Texas. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas. Due to Covid-19, no Vigil is being held and the Carranza Family will be reciting the Holy Rosary on Sunday, February 14, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas. A Scripture Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 15, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas. Services are entrusted to Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
