    December 22, 1967 - December 15, 2018

    Doris Lee Sheedy Klein Edwards, 50, of Uvalde, Texas, after an 8 year battle with cancer she hung up her pink boxing gloves on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was born on December 22, 1967 in Uvalde, Texas to Willie and Barbara Whitehead Sheedy. She was the oldest of 3 children. She had one sister, Shannan Sheedy Carroll and Husband John of Magnolia, Texas and one brother, Jeff Sheedy and wife Nyla of Uvalde, Texas. She married Fred Barney Klein in 1992, Uvalde, Texas. They had two sons. Fred went to be with our Lord in February of 1996. On November 23, 1996 Doris married Clyde Edwards in La Pryor, Texas, and they had 3 sons. Her professions were LVN at Amistad Nursing home from 1989-1997, She was a veterinary technician from 2003-2005, she was a Bail Bond Agent from 2000-2012, but her most prized profession was being an awesome full time mom to her boys. She is survived by her Father Willie Sheedy of Uvalde, Sister Shannon S. Carroll and husband John of Magnolia, TX, Brother Jeff Sheedy and wife Nyla, her husband Clyde Edwards, and her children, Erick Klein and wife Liz of Uvalde, Shane Edwards of Sabinal and John Edwards of Uvalde. She has numerous nieces and nephews, and friends that loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother; Barbara W. Sheedy, her first husband; Fred B. Klein, her sons, Clinton Charles Sheedy and Cody James Edwards. A celebration of her life will be held on January 12, 2019 at noon at The Baptist Temple Church 620 East Main Street, Uvalde, Texas 78801. Flowers are welcomed; Sunflowers were her favorite. Any donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or any Breast Cancer awareness organization of your choice. Memorial Service: Saturday, January 12, 2019 12:00 P.M. at Baptist Temple. Uvalde, Texas.
