Ailene Dee Reid's Obituary
Ailene Dee Reid, age 79, passed away on February 4, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1946, in Del Rio, Texas, to Jack Chenault and Nadine Wakefield.
Ailene devoted much of her professional life to public service, retiring as Chief Deputy Justice of the Peace after 21 years of dedicated service. She was known for her strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to her community.
She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. Ailene loved fishing, plants and gardening, and had a deep affection for her animals, which she truly adored. She enjoyed western shows and rodeo, and her faith was an important part of her life as a Baptist.
She is survived by her loving children Shelly Bleidt, Quintion Lynn Clark and wife Heidi Keller, and Chestin Clark and wife Nicole; and her cherished grandchildren, Kayle Smith, Destiny Breidt, Ethan Luna, Jayden Luna, Macie Clark, River Clark and great grandchildren Serinity Mcnett, Gavyn Tucker, two brothers Jack Chenault and wife Linda, Pat Chenault, close cousins Howard Wakefield wife Susan, Sissy Wakefield, Linda Nelson, niece Kacie Chenault and son Lane, life long friend Karen Merriman.
Ailene was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Chenault and Nadine Wakefield.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, love of family, and the quiet joy she found in the world around her.
