Alejandra “Handa” Garcia, 68, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 peacefully in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Garcia was born in Torreon, Mexico and is proceeded in death by her parents; Mr. Luis & Mrs. Conrada Herrera, brother; Refugio Herrera, son; Victor Alfonso Garcia, and daughter; Juanita Garcia.
Handa loved spending quality time and cooking for her family. She never met anyone who didn't become her friend. Mrs. Garcia's smile will be missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Francisco Garcia; sons; Herman (Raquel) Garcia, Francisco (Maria Elena) Garcia, Juan Carlos Garcia, Alejandro Garcia, Jose Luis (Valerie) Garcia, daughters; Juana Maria Garcia, Dariela (Cristian) Rodriguez, sisters; Esperanza Herrera, Maria De Jesus Herrera, Guadalupe Silva Rosales, Luz Elena Herrera, brothers; Juan Herrera, Jose Luis Herrera, Including 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Funeral Service will follow Wednesday, January 24, 2018 10:00 A.M. at Templo La Hermosa, 120 Guedea Street, Batesville, Texas.
Interment will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Edgewood-Woodlawn Cemetery in Batesville, Texas.
