Alfredo Almendarez's Obituary
Alfredo Almendarez 71 of Uvalde died Friday, December 8, 2023 at Cedar Hills Geriatric Center in Camp Wood.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 13, 2023 and Thursday, December 14, 2023 from noon to 9:00 P.M,. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. both days. Mass is set for 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 15, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on July 27, 1952 in Uvalde to Rafaela Mansanarez and Delfino Santiago Vasquez. He was adopted by Rafael Almendarez and Ignacia Juarez Almendarez.
His daughter described him as a master fence builder and welder who spent most of his career with Almendarez Fencing. He enjoyed the great outdoors.
He is survived by his companion; Maria Ninfa Moreno of Carrizo Springs, one son; Tommy Moreno of Minnesota, daughter; Gracy Castillon and husband; Jimmy of Uvalde, two sisters; Esmeralda V. Santos and husband; Ernest Jr., Raquel Rodriguez, three grandchildren; Jimmy Castillon Jr. of San Antonio, Jacob Castillon, Grayce Castillon both of Uvalde, four great grandchildren; Jack Castillon, Jeice Castillon both of Uvalde Winter Castillon, Summer Castillon both of San Antonio.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Castillon, Jeice Castillon, Grayce Castillon, Samuel Perez all of Uvalde.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Castillon Jr., Jacob Castillon, Billy Freitag, Ricky Freitag, Rogelio Ruiz, Mark Zapata all of Uvalde.
He is preceded in death his biological parents and his adopted parents, six brothers; Everardo Rodriguez, Willy Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, Robert T. Vasquez, Ruben T. Vasquez, sister; Ruby V. Garza.
