Obituary for Amelia Jasso
Amelia Jasso, age 76, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. She was born on June 16, 1949, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Marcos Esquivel and Esther Martinez.
Amelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Severo Z. Jasso; her daughter, Sylvia Kiser; and her son, Ismael Jasso.
She is survived by her loving children: Angelina Jaime and her husband Gerardo, Esequiel Jasso, and Erlinda Jasso Harlos and her husband Jonathan. Amelia also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Victoria Jaime, Gerardo Jaime, Leah Kiser, Jakob Kiser, Asa Harlos, Kai Harlos, and Teo Harlos, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Amelia dedicated much of her life to helping others through her work at the women’s shelter, where she found deep purpose and fulfillment. She had a generous spirit and a passion for serving her community. As a leader in her youth organization, she guided and inspired young people, teaching them valuable life skills and encouraging them to grow with confidence and compassion.
A devoted member of the Latter-day Saints faith, Amelia lived her life with strong values, kindness, and unwavering faith.
In her personal time, Amelia found joy in baking, sewing, and music. She loved sharing her talents with family and friends, often bringing people together through her warmth and creativity.
Amelia will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
