Anita De La Cerda, 77 of Uvalde died August 27, 2022 at her daughter’s residence in San Antonio.
A Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from noon to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. A Mass is set Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on June 27, 1945 in Batesville to Herminia Rios and Miguel Martinez.
She is survived by husband; Augustine De La Cerda of Uvalde, three daughters; Soledad Contreras, Marisa De La Cerda both of San Antonio, Elsie De La Cerda and Companion; Richard Diaz of Pflugerville, two brothers; Richard Martinez and David Martinez both of Uvalde, five sisters; Estela Garcia, Frances Martinez both of Uvalde, Irma Mikulenka of San Antonio, Olga Ramirez of Mercedes. one daughter-in-law; Lena De La Cerda of Uvalde, six grandchildren; Jysenia Garcia of Uvalde, Clarissa Contreras, Cassandra Contreras, Christina Contreras all of San Antonio, Gabrielle Galindo, Gloriana Galindo both of Pflugerville. 12 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearer; Richard Martinez of Uvalde.
Pallbearers will be Richard Diaz, Willie Garcia IV, Willie III, Luis Gonzalez, Omar Ramirez, David Martinez all of Uvalde.
She is preceded in death by both parents; Herminia Rios Martinez, Miguel Martinez, one son; Eduardo De La Cerda, two brothers; Oscar Martinez, Raul Martinez, one sister; Santa Martinez.
