Apolinaria "Pauline" Mireles' Obituary
Apolinaria “ Pauline” Mireles Age 85, of Uvalde, Texas, Passed away peacefully on Tuesday , September 9, 2025. Born on January 29, 1940, to Atilano Gonzales Jr. and Francisca Ledesma, Pauline lived a full life centered around faith, family, and love.
She was a devoted mother , grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in life’s simple pleasures- spending time with her love ones, caring for the plants, dancing to her favorite music, and watching her beloved novelas. Coffee time with her son Felipe was a cherished daily ritual. She especially loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly her pride and joy.
Pauline was a homemaker and a faithful Catholic. She had a deep love for her pets and always made her home a warm and welcoming place for all. She reunited with eternal rest with her beloved husband of 61 years on the anniversary of their marriage, a fitting reflection of their enduring bond.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Atilano Gonzales Jr. and Francisca Ledesma, and husband, Felix Mireles Sr..
She is survived by her children: Felix G. Mireles and wife Samantha, Guadalupe “Lupe” Mireles, Felipe Mireles, Pauline Mireles and husband Rosendo Saiz all of Uvalde, Texas.
She is also survived but her 13 grandchildren and 16 great grand-children, including: CJ Saiz, Priscilla L. Morales, Michael Saiz and partner Ivy De La Garza, Timothy Saiz, Stephen Saiz, and partner Mercedes Lopez.
Pallbearers will be CJ Saiz, Michael Saiz, Timothy Saiz, Stephen Saiz, Felix Robert Mireles and Janice Mireles.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Carter Saiz.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 and Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. both days at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 A.M, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church., 408 Fort Clark Rd.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pauline’s memory will live on through the many lives she touched with her warmth, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
