Aurelio Fernandez's Obituary
Aurelio Fernandez, age 94, of Uvalde, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Aurelio Fernandez was born in Tupataro, Michoacán, Mexico on July 26, 1926 to Librado Fernandez and Maria Elena Ledesma. He is preceded in death by his son; Andres Fernandez; brothers, Vicente Fernandez, Ignacio Fernandez; sisters, Augustina Fernandez, Salud Fernandez, Maria Fernandez.
Aurelio Fernandez will be missed most by his loving parents, Librado and Maria Elena Fernandez, of Uvalde, Texas, sons; Efrain (Maria) Fernandez, of Uvalde, Texas, Fidel (Evelia) Fernandez, of Chicago, Illinois, Dagoberto (Maria Herrera) Fernandez, Jose A. (Veronica) Fernandez, Martin (Patricia) Fernandez, Jose B. (Sonia) Fernandez, all of Uvalde Texas, daughters; Maria De La Luz Fernandez, of Uvalde, Maria Elena Fernandez, Maria Guadalupe Fernandez, both of Mexico City, 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The Fernandez Family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 75 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services.
Gentlemen servings as Pallbearers will be: Dagoberto Fernandez, Uriel Fernandez, Martin E. Fernandez, Emir Fernandez, Gael Fernandez and Daniel Romo.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas and Monday, November 2, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Tranquility, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will also be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas and Monday, November 2, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Tranquility, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, HWY 90 at Sgt. Alvarez Street, Uvalde, Texas.
