Beatrice Cortez Roman, 90 of Uvalde died Wednesday April 12, 2023 at Uvalde Health and Rehabilitation Center Uvalde.
A Visitation will take place Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where A Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. Mass set for Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on May 30, 1932 in Winters to Rosa Santebanez and Ed Cortez.
She is survived by four sons; Joe Roman and wife; Carmen, Juan Roman and wife; Monica, Henry Roman and wife; Velma all of Uvalde, George Roman Jr. and wife; Norma of Round Rock, two daughters;
Candelaria Johnson of Bettendorf, Janie Luther and husband; Jeff of Georgia, one sister; Martina Cortez of Nebraska. 13 grandchildren. 14 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both parents; Rosa Santebanez Cortez and Ed Cortez, husband; George Roman Sr., one son; Fr. Manuel Roman, one sister; Dolores Diaz, Manuela Cortez, Albesa Cortez, Rosa Cortez three brothers; Jesus Cortez, Arturo Cortez and Raymond Cortez.
