Catherine Ann Cano's Obituary
Catherine Ann Cano, 76, of Ft. Clark Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, creativity, and kindness. Born on November 17, 1948, in Osaka, Japan, Catherine was the daughter of the late Albert James Seargeant II and Alice I. Seargeant. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al Cano.
Cathy was a dedicated and passionate educator, having spent many years as a teacher within the South West Independent School District in San Antonio, specializing in reading and Dyslexia, before retiring to the peaceful community of Ft. Clark Springs.
Cathy was an avid crafter, finding joy in yarn arts and expressing her creativity through her many projects. Her generosity and kindness extended to the gifts of her baked goods, especially her delicious cookies
Cathy was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Brackettville, where she enjoyed singing and engaging in church activities. Her presence in the congregation was a reflection of her deep faith and love for her community.
Cathy's memory will be cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sister, and many other family members.. Cathy also leaves behind her beloved cats, who were a source of comfort, joy, and endless entertainment.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the First United Methodist Church in Brackettville, Texas, on March 15, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. A dessert reception will follow the service to celebrate her life.
Catherine's legacy of love, teaching, and devotion to her family and faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.
