Cecilio Herrera's Obituary
Cecilio Vasquez Herrera, age 90 of Batesville, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Uvalde, Texas. Cecilio Vasquez Herrera was born in Mexico on November 22, 1930 to Nicolas Herrera and Clemencia Vasquez. He is preceded in death by his parents; Nicolas Herrera and Clemencia Vasquez, wife; Dominga Delgado Herrera.
Cecilio Vasquez Herrera will be missed most by his sons; Jose Nicolas Herrera, of La Pryor, Texas, Ramiro Herrera, of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; San Juana Troche, of Batesville, Texas, Cecilia Garcia, of California, Camila Herrera, of Batesville, Texas, Maria Angelica Garcia, of Uvalde, Texas, Manuela Avila, of San Antonio, Texas, Maria Luisa Hinojosa, of Batesville, Texas, 23 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren, along with his caretaker of 10 years, Maria E. Hernandez.
The Herrera family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 75 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
Due to Covid-19, no Vigil is being held and the Herrera family will be reciting the Holy Rosary on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Old Loma Vista Rd , Batesville, Texas 78829
Interment will follow at Batesville Cemetery, 23 53rd Street South East Edgewood. Services are entrusted to Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
