Cristina S. Garcia, age 79 of Uvalde, Texas passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Cristina S. Garcia was born September 22, 1940 in Mexico to Rito Sanchez and Albina Balboa. She is preceded in death by both parents; Rito Sanchez and Albina Balboa-Sanchez, grandson, Gilbert Garcia.
Cristina S. Garcia will most be missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Jesus V. Garcia, of Uvalde, Texas, sons; Reynaldo Garcia and Reyes Garcia, both of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; Esmeralda Garcia, of Dallas, Texas, Florinda (David) Garcia, Minerva Garcia, Griselda (Mario) Garza, all of Uvalde, Texas, brother, Israel Sanchez, of Mexico, sisters; Julia Sanchez, of Eagle Pass, Texas, Esthela Falcon, of Uvalde, Texas, 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren.
Gentlemen serving as pallbearers; David Garcia Jr., Juan Talamantez, Erik Talamantez, all of Dallas, Texas, Martin De Leon, Reynaldo Garcia Jr., Jimmy De Leon, Jesse Garcia, Eleazar Garcia, all of Uvalde, Texas.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., and Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will also be held both days Wednesday, February 26, 2020 and Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:00 A.M., Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Street, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Lovers Lane, Uvalde, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
