Dee Perry's Obituary
Dee Perry, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on February 26, 2025. She was born on May 10, 1943, to Henry Perry and Julia DeHoyos in Uvalde, Texas.
Dee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished member of her community. She is survived by four daughters: Anna Maria Chavez of Uvalde, Norma D. Flores of Lubbock, Janet Trevino and her husband Amos of Floresville, and Ruby Lee Guerrero of Lake Worth. Her legacy also includes four grandsons: Arturo G. Chavez Jr. and his wife Leslie of Uvalde, Michael G. Chavez of Uvalde, Austin Paden wife Melissa of Lake Worth, and Cody Paden of Lake Worth; three granddaughters: Laurie Flores of Lubbock, Melissa Boyd and her husband Jon of Minnesota, and Marcy Dufrene of California; and four great-grandchildren: Andrew Wesley Chavez, Rosalyn Chavez, Ember Dufrene, and Ethen Dufrene.
A devoted homemaker, Dee also sold fireworks seasonally. She enjoyed embroidery and dancing in her free time. Dee was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and found great joy in nurturing her family and community. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Henry Perry and Julia DeHoyos.
Dee’s love for her family and her kind, giving nature will always be remembered. She leaves behind a rich legacy of warmth, joy, and faith.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 2:00 P.M, Monday, March 3, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church., 408 Fort Clark Rd.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
