Dolores Galvan Rodriguez's Obituary
Dolores Galvan Rodriguez, 84, of Batesville, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2025, at Amistad Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 17, 1940, in Thrall, Texas, to Juana Hernandez and Thomas Galvan.
Dolores was a devoted homemaker who found joy in sewing, gardening, and caring for her family. Her passion for nurturing her loved ones was reflected in the
warmth of her home and the love she shared with those around her. A lifelong Catholic, she was a woman of deep faith and devotion.
She was married to Heremerejildo Rodriguez for 42 years before becoming a widow. Dolores is survived by her brother, Thomas Galvan Jr.; her six children: Norma Rubio, Roy Rodriguez, Rachel Lozano, Jesse Rodriguez, Diana Rios, and Abel Rodriguez; two daughters-in-law, Martha Rodriguez and Rachel Rodriguez; one son-in-law, Roland Rios; and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Heremerejildo Rodriguez, one son, Jose Angel Seca, and her sister, Rosa Sandoval of Peoria, Arizona.
A Visitation will be held Monday, March 24, 2025 from 1:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M and Tuesday March 25, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. both days. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at
St. Patrick’s Mission, 389 Old Lomavista Rd. Batesville, Tx 78829
Interment to follow at Rodriguez Family Cemetery
Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, her loving spirit, and the deep impact she had on all who knew her. Her legacy of family, faith, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. May she rest in peace.
