Dora Elia Amaya Ruiz, 69 of Uvalde died Monday April 22, 2024 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
A Visitation will take place Wednesday May 1, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass set for Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation to follow.
She was born on April 24, 1954 in Carrizo Springs to Aurora De La Cruz and Pedro Amaya.
She is survived by her son; Isaac Moreno of San Antonio, four daughters; Monica Lozano and husband; Raul, Marisol Ruiz all of Uvalde, Nora Avila and husband Vicente of San Antonio, Christina Gonzales of Euless, two sisters; Angie Torres and husband; David, Guadalupe De Leon all of Carrizo Springs, two sisters-in-law; Esther Amaya of Grande Prairie, Leticia Amaya of Leander, one brother; Ruben Amaya and wife; Diana of Jarel, 18 grandchildren. 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be; Jeremy Skirvin, Raul Lozano II, Juan Jimenez Jr., Javier Ruiz, Raul Lozano Jr. all of Uvalde, Marcus Gonzales of Arlington.
She is preceded in death by both her parents; Aurora De La Cruz and Pedro Amaya, son; Paul Moreno, brothers; Pedro Amaya Jr., Jaime Amaya, sister; Oralia Amaya.
