Douglas Clifford Schmittou, age 66 of Brackettville, Texas passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Douglas Clifford Schmittou was born in Waller, Texas on June 24, 1954 to Doug Schmittou and Lela Schmittou. He is preceded in death by both parents; Doug and Lela Schmittou, sister, Patricia Riehl, brother, Stanley Schmittou.
Douglas Clifford Schmittou will be missed most by his loving wife, Cheryl Schmittou, of Brackettville, Texas, brothers; John Schmittou, all of Brackettville, Texas, sisters, Karen Drymalla, and Diana Spencer, both of Brackettville, Texas, beloved nieces; Lela (Chris) May, Teriva (Tim) McGee, all of Brackettville, Texas.
Douglas Clifford Schmittou worked for 30 years as an over-the-road truck driver, hauling cattle. He also worked for several years at the Kinney County Sheriff’s Office in Brackettville, Texas in a support capacity. Douglas was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Brackettville, and will be dearly missed by all.
Cremation under the direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
