Eddie Rios Mata, 63 of Uvalde died Friday, December 1, 2023 at Baptist Emergency Hospital in San Antonio.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 6, 2023 and Thursday, December 7, 2023 both days from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. both days. A Chapel Service set for Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation to follow.
He was born on December 1, 1960 in Olton to Belia Rios and Juan Valverde Mata.
He is survived by his one son; Giovanni Mata and wife; Chelsea of Rising Star, one daughter; Karla Avila and husband; Juan of Uvalde, two brothers; Juan Mata, Roberto “Bobby” Mata both of Uvalde, three sisters; Cynthia Gonzales and husband; Roberto, Sandra Mata all of Uvalde, Sonia Torres and husband; Jesus of Oklahoma, six grandchildren; Joshua Avila, Aria Avila both of Uvalde, Leighton Mata, Ayden Mata, Gracelynn Mata, Harlin Mata all of Rising Star, best friend; Besy Martinez and husband; Gregorio of Carrizo.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Belia Rios and Juan Valverde Mata, one brother; Rojelio Mata.
