Elias Garcia's Obituary
Elias Garcia , 73 of Uvalde died Monday November 25, 2024 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.
A Visitation will take place Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass set for Friday, December 6, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Elias Garcia, a proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War from December 13, 1968, to October 16, 1971. During his service, Elias was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal for his bravery and dedication.
He was also a avid pool player that won several state tournament
He was born on January 29, 1951 in Uvalde to Rosa G Zamarripa.
He is survived by his daughter; Jeanene Carlson and husband; Jeff of Santa Rosa California, one son Mark Anthony Garcia of Uvalde, two brothers; Pedro Zamarripa of Uvalde, Richard Zamarripa and wife Sabrina of San Antonio, four sisters; Patricia Gonzales and husband David, Maryann Cooper of Uvalde, Mary Agnes Quintanilla and husband Mario of Uvalde, Rosa Gomes and husband Randy of Uvalde, one granddaughter; Aliandra Schaffer of Santa Rosa, California, two grandsons; Colton Levar of Santa Rosa, California, Milachi Garcia of Uvalde, numerous nephews and nieces
