Elizabeth Elizondo's Obituary
Elizabeth San Miguel Elizondo was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She left this world suddenly on September 1st, at age 84.
She was born to Alberto San Miguel and Santos Hernandez San Miguel on September 10, 1938, in Uvalde, TX.
Elizabeth was an amazing cook. Her children loved waking up to the smell of breakfast in the morning. Her passion for music was undeniable. She had an angelic singing voice that captured everyone’s attention. She could cut a rug with the best dancers on any dance floor. Her unyielding work ethics proved to be a GOD send which enabled her to support 11 children as a single mother. Her strength, character, and devout Catholicism resulted in a strong family bond.
Although she was tough and strict in her discipline, she loved all her children equally and wholeheartedly.
She is survived by 11 of her favorite children and 89 direct descendants: 34 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Mary Elsie Elizondo, Rosa Linda Elizondo, Manuel Elizondo JR, Albert Elizondo, David Elizondo, Margarita Victoria Elizondo, Florita Elizondo Calzoncit, Ada Marisa Elizondo, Bobby Jose Raul De La Cruz, Jose Luis Morales, Carmen Elodia Elizondo are extremely proud and honored to call her mom.
Elizabeth Elizondo is most certainly beloved and cherished by her children and family.
Visitation will Wednesday, September 6, 2023 and Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. both days at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. both days. Mass is set for 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow.
