Enrique De La Paz Cantu Sr. 77 of Uvalde died Monday, June 17, 2024 at his residence in Uvalde.
The Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home with a Baha’I Devotional accompanied by music at 6:00 PM and the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born on May 14, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Guadalupe Cantu and Andrea De La Paz.
Survivors include his beloved wife; Maria T. Cantu of Uvalde Tx, three sons; Enrique wife Madalena H. Cantu of Round Rock, Texas, Valentin wife Lee Ash Cantu of Uvalde, Texas, Guadalupe Cantu of Kyle, Texas; one brother, Santos Cantu of Houston Texas, two sisters; Lydia Cantu Gartuche of Corpus Christi, and Maria Emma Hernandez of Riverton Utah , 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both his parents; Guadalupe Cantu and Andrea De La Paz and his daughter Maricela Cantu, three brothers; Juan Jose Cantu, Victor Cantu, Willie Cantu, five sisters; Elida Cantu; Guadalupe Calderon; Delia Bazan; Maria Elvira Castaneda; San Juanita Cantu Jimenez,
