Francisco Barrera Jr., 70 of Uvalde died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital in
San Antonio.
A Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 23, 2024 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M.
A Mass of Christian burial is set for Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on January 27, 1954 in Mexico to Francisco Barrera Sr. and Anastacia Martinez.
He is survived by his wife; Rosalinda Olivarez Barrera six sons; Francisco Barrera III, Eloy wife Lorena Barrera, Alonzo Barrera, Bobby Joe wife Jennifer Barrera, Billy Joe Barrera, Harley Leal all of Uvalde, four daughters; Sandra husband Gilbert Barrera, Haylie Leal, Selena Barrera all of Uvalde, Elvira Rangel husband Jose Sotelo of Beeville, two brothers; Antonio Barrera Sr., Fortino Garza both of Hereford,
21 grandchildren 25 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Frankie Barrera IV of San Antonio, Jordon Rodriguez, Eloy Barrera Jr., Alonzo Barrera Jr., Bobby Barrera Jr., Harley Leal, Billy Joe Barrera, Francisco Ivan Barrera all of Uvalde.
He is preceded in death by both his parents; Francisco Barrera Sr., Anastacia Martinez-Barrera, three brothers; Alonzo, Gilberto, Armando Barrera, two sisters; Lelia Barrera Guerra, Elsa Perales.
