Frank Pena Jr., age 64, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1960, in Uvalde to Frank Pena Sr. and Hortencia Rodriguez.
Frank was a devoted son, father, grandfather, and brother. He worked as a forklift operator and was known for his strong work ethic and kind heart. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—fishing, cruising around town, cheering on Texas sports teams, playing the guitar, riding motorcycles, and trying his luck gambling. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his loving mother, Hortencia Rodriguez; his son, Frank Pena III; his companion, Franky Bernhardt; and his beloved granddaughter, Penelope Camila Pena. He is also survived by his three brothers, George Pena, John Jake Pena, and Joaquin Pena.
Frank was a man of deep faith and a lifelong Catholic. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Pena Sr.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Rd.
Cremation will follow under the direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
