Gilberto Hernandez Castro Sr., age 74 of Uvalde, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Uvalde, Texas. Gilberto Hernandez Castro Sr. was born in Uvalde, Texas, on February 23, 1946 to Silvestre Castro and Maria Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his parents both parents; Silvestre Castro and Maria Hernandez Castro, brother, Alejandro Aguirre, sisters; Manuela Munoz, Anita Juarez and Juanita Juarez.
Gilberto H. Castro will be missed most by his loving wife of 56 years; Diana Castro, of Uvalde, sons; Gilberto (Rosie) Castro Jr., Robert (Deborah) Castro, Silvestre (Paula) Castro, all of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; Ana Maria Castro and Angela (Alejandro) Gomez, both of Uvalde, Texas, Sandy (Moises) Rodriguez, of San Antonio, Texas, brothers; Frank (Lupe) Castro, of New Mexico, Samuel (Keta) Castro, Ernest Castro, Silvestre Castro, Armando Aguirre, all of Uvalde, Texas, sisters; Janie Rubio, Rosalinda Alvarado, Maria Zamora, all of Uvalde, Texas, Maria Elida Martinez, of Brownfield, Texas, 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The Castro family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 50 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services.
