Gilberto Rodriguez 85 of Uvalde died Saturday July 8, 2023 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde.
Visitation will take place Wednesday July 12, 2023 and Thursday July 13, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. both days at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 P.M. Thursday July 13, 2023 A Funeral Service is set for Friday July 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on September 4, 1937 in Mexico to Maria De Jesus Navarro and Cruz Juantos Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Teodora G. Rodriguez of Uvalde, three sons; Cruz Rodriguez and wife; Patsy of Knippa, Antonio Rodriguez and wife; Rebecca of Brackettville, Eliodoro “Gene” Rodriguez and wife; Lisa of Uvalde, three daughters; Mirella Rodriguez, Mary Helen Hernandez and husband; Dennis all of Uvalde, Juanita Strickland and husband; Aaron of San Antonio, two sisters; Maria De Jesus Martinez of Houston, Maria Cruz Moreno of Mexico, five brothers; Andres Rodriguez of Uvalde, Luis Rodriguez, Cruz Rodriguez, Zaragosa Rodriguez all of Mexico, Rodrigo Rodriguez of San Marcos. 17 grandchildren. 20 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Maria De Jesus Navarro Rodriguez and Cruz Juantos Rodriguez, one son: Gilberto Rodriguez, seven brothers; Raul L. Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Roman Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, Gregorio Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez, one sister Oralia Rodriguez,
Pallbearers will be Antonio Rodriguez of Brackettville, Eliodoro “Gene” Rodriguez, Gilberto Rodriguez III both of Uvalde, Antonio Rodriguez Jr., Joshua Alvarado, Richard Robles III all of San Antonio.
