Obituary for Guillermo Quirova III
Guillermo Quirova III, age 30, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1995, in Uvalde to Guillermo Quirova Jr. and Courtney Lynn Barnekow.
Guillermo was a devoted husband, loving brother, proud uncle, and a dedicated professional. He served as a Finance Director at Freedom Buick GMC, where he was respected for his hard work and commitment.
He is survived by his beloved wife of four years, Angelyna Quirova; his sisters, Andrea Serna, Gabriela Quirova, and Erika Mahlum; and his brothers, Anthony Quirova and Michael Quirova and his wife, Brianna. He was a proud and loving uncle to his nephews Gideon Quirova, Liam Quirova, and Jayce Quirova, and his nieces Alicia Quirova and baby Amelia Quirova.
Guillermo found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him. He loved barbecuing and gathering with loved ones, and he was an enthusiastic sports fan who enjoyed watching football, baseball, and cheering on his favorite teams, including the Titans, the Padres, and Texas Tech.
He had a special love for his pets—Gumba, Brownie, Hazel, and Mrs. Kitty—who were cherished members of his family. Above all, Guillermo’s unique and enduring passion was collecting Pokémon cards, a hobby that brought him great happiness throughout his life.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church., 408 Fort Clark Rd.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Guillermo Quirova Sr.; his grandmothers, Alicia Quirova and Suzanne McCormack; and his aunt, Patricia “Tinker” Gonzalez.
Guillermo will be remembered for his warmth, his love of family, his sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
