Ilda Mendez age 65 of Leakey, Texas passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her family in Leakey, Texas. Mrs. Mendez was born in Uvalde, Texas on December 18, 1954 to Santiago Ibarra and Alicia E. Coronado. She is preceded in death by her father, Santiago Ibarra, grandparents, Alfredo & Guadalupe Ibarra and Luis & Concepcion Enriguez, brother-in-law, Antonio Silva, and aunt, Mary Elena Rodriguez.
Ilda will be missed most by her husband Francisco “Pancho” Mendez son, Albert (Shannon) Rocha of Burlington Iowa, daughters; Ventura Isabel Rocha of West Burlington, Iowa, Elsa (Linda Woods) Silvas of Tucson, Arizona, Maricelda (Rob) Fogt of Marshal Town, Iowa, Mayra Mendez of Uvalde, Texas mother, Alicia Coronado, of Leakey, Texas, brother, Luis Ibarra of Uvalde, Texas sister, Esmeralda Silva of Uvalde, Texas, aunt, Janie Ibarra of Zillah, Washington, 9-grandchildern, 4-great-grandchildern, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins and her loving pet companion Azi.
