Irene Sandoval 's Obituary
Irene Sandoval of New Braunfels passed away peacefully Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. She was born in New Braunfels on October 16, 1950 to Serapio and Mercedes Garcia Fuentes. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Cruz Fuentes, Andres Fuentes , Antonio Fuentes, and Andrew Fuentes.
Irene had been in the health care field working as a medical aide. She will be remembered for her wit and humor. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She was always fun to be with and never missed a Fuentes family reunion.
Irene will be missed dearly by her daughter Sonja “Buffy” Sandoval, sons Raul Sandoval, Jr. and wife Brenda, Phillip C. Sandoval; sisters Mary Martinez, Sylvia Hernandez, Janie Garcia, Tanya Alvarez and Helen Agnew; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Rock Hill Gospel Church, 1121 Oasis St. here in New Braunfels (next to Montana Mike’s) from 5 PM to 8 PM with a service to begin at 6 PM with Rev. Bubba Collins officiating. Services will conclude that evening.
