Jerry Sober's Obituary
Jerry Sober, age 77, passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1949, in Amarillo, Texas, to James Sober and Yvonne Chuesberg. Jerry was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jerry married the love of his life, Linda Sober, on July 30, 1988. Together, they built a strong and loving family grounded in faith, devotion, and shared values.
He is survived by his son, James L. Sober and his wife, Michelle; daughters Barbara Bingham, Pamela Petrosky, and April Sober; five grandsons, Justyn Petrosky, Tyler Petrosky, Daniel Anderson, Kane Jackson, and Sincere Jackson; two granddaughters, Taryn Ashley and Everly Grace Sober; and three great-grandsons, Zane Vaughn, Daniel King Anderson, and Nolan Petrosky. He is also survived by his four sisters, Dawna, Vickie, Tracie, and Jamie, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, James Sober, and his beloved wife, Linda Sober.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Jerry spent 30 years working as a welder and pipeline inspector. Outside of work, he had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and mechanics, spending over 60 years riding and working on bikes. He loved traveling across Texas, especially the Hill Country, where he found great joy and peace.
Jerry was also a proud member of a close-knit brotherhood family at the Bent Rim Grill in Leakey, Texas, and also the founding member and mister of the Lost Vijeos brotherhood where he shared countless memories, friendships, and camaraderie that meant a great deal to him.
He had a deep appreciation for hot rods and antique cars and made many lasting friendships through these passions. He was a founding father and mister for the Texas Iron Motorcycle Rally for many years.

Above all, Jerry was a man of strong Christian faith who loved Jesus and lived his life guided by those beliefs.
Jerry will be remembered for his kind heart, his hardworking spirit, and the love he gave so freely to his family, friends, and his extended brotherhood. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
