Jesus Garcia, age 87, of Uvalde, Texas passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 in Uvalde, Texas. Jesus Garcia was born in El Moral Coahuila, Mexico, on December 1, 1933 to Epifanio Ortiz Garcia and Maria Del Refugio Hernandez Villanueva. He is preceded in death by both parents, Epifanio Ortiz Garcia and Maria Del Refugio Hernandez Villanueva, wife, Cristina S. Garcia, brothers; Demetrio Garcia, Margarito, Garcia, Panfilo Garcia, Teodulo Garcia, sisters; San Juanita Del Carmen Garcia De Sanchez, Maria Luisa Garcia, Severa Garcia De Perez, grandsons; Gilbert Garcia, Jesus A. Garcia
Jesus Garcia will be missed most by his loving sons, Reynaldo Garcia, Reyes Garcia, both of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; Minerva Garcia, Florinda (David) Garcia, Griselda (Mario A.) Garza, all of Uvalde, Texas, Esmeralda Garcia, of Mesquite, Texas, brothers; Miguel G. (Norma) Garcia, of Fredericksburg, Texas, Juan G. (Melida) Garcia, of Anahuac, Texas, sisters; Narcisa G. Ruiz, Simona G. Leija, both of Uvalde, Texas, Micaela G. (Amador) Sonora, of Fredericksburg, Texas, 19 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Garcia Family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 50 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
Due to Covid-19, no Vigil is being held and the Garcia Family will be reciting the Holy Rosary on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 and Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas.
