Jose Chavez 92 of Uvalde died Wednesday April 3, 2024 at his residence in Uvalde.
A Visitation will take place Friday, April 5, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service set for Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation to follow
He was born on June 28, 1931 in Uvalde to Dionicia Carbajal and Elojio Chavez.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years; Martha Idalia Chavez of Uvalde, two sons; Gilbert Chavez of Pettus, Ricardo Chavez and wife; Carla of Uvalde, six daughters; Dionecia Lara and husband; Carlos of New Mexico, Rebeca Chavez and companion; Jesse, Linda Chavez, Amelia Nava, Elisa Chavez all of Uvalde, Rosa Elia Alvarado and husband; Juan of El Paso, two step daughters; Abigail Moreno, Yajaira Moreno Villarreal and husband; Rigoberto all of Uvalde. 32 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren. 2 great great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both his parents; Dionecia Carbajal Chavez and Elojio Chavez, First wife; Maria G. Chavez, three daughters; Guadalupe Chavez, Esperanza Chavez, Christina Rios, two sons; Jose Chavez Jr., Arturo Chavez.
