Josefa Sanchez's Obituary
Josefa Sanchez, age 89, of Uvalde, Texas passed away peacefully Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Josefa Sanchez was born in Uvalde, on March 19, 1931 to Gabriel and Manuela Hernandez Esparza. She is preceded in death by both parents, Gabriel and Manuela Hernandez Esparza, husband, Damacio Sanchez, daughter; Rosa Angel Sanchez, son; Juan Manuel Sanchez, grandsons; Gabriel S. Olvedo, Ines Roberto Reyes Jr, Francisco G. Alegria III.
Josefa Sanchez will be missed most by her loving sons, Oscar (Becky) Sanchez, of Killeen, Texas, Patricio (Diana) Sanchez, of Roundrock, Texas, Efrain Sanchez, of Austin, Texas, Roberto “Bobby” (Mari) Sanchez, of Cedar Park, Texas, Damacio “Tito” (Cheryl) Sanchez Jr, of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; Julie (Frank) Alegria, Martha (Robert) Reyes, all of Uvalde, Texas, Alina (Jaime) Sanchez, Noelia (Jose) Sanchez, all of Austin, Texas, sisters; Epifania Garcia, Fora Flores, both of Uvalde, Texas, Olivia Flores, of Bandera, Texas, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Josefa Sanchez will be greatly missed by her family and many friends for her kind heart and wonderful sense of humor.
The Sanchez Family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 50 percent capacity and required mask coverings during all services.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment will follow at 527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas
Services are entrusted to Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
