Juan De Dios Gonzalez Jr. , age 37, of Uvalde, Texas passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Uvalde, Texas. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Laredo, Texas to Juan De Dios Sr. & Gloria (Mendoza) Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Ricardo Gonzalez, Valente Mendoza and Herlinda Mendoza,
Juan was a graduate of ITT Technical Institute and was very proud to be an electronic engineer. Juan never met anyone who did not become his friend. Well known in the Uvalde community for his great personality, Juan was very proud to have been a football player for the Uvalde Trojans and loved the NFL Patriots football team.
Mr. Gonzalez will be missed most by his loving parents; Juan De Dios Sr. & Gloria Gonzalez, sisters; Crystal Marie Gonzalez of Donna, Texas, Emily Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, Stephanie Gonzalez of Uvalde, Texas. grandmother, Gudelia Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas.
A two-day visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday,
July 24, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at
Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity,
424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held both on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 and on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity,
424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 527 Lover Lane, Uvalde, Texas 78801
