Juan Ruiz Sosa Jr., 79 of Uvalde died August 21, 2022 at Waterside Nursing Center in Kerrville.
A Visitation will take place Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. A Mass is set Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on November 17, 1942 in Montell to Andrea Ruiz and Juan M. Sosa Sr..
He is survived by wife; Erlinda Rodriguez of Uvalde, five sons; Juan Sosa III “Chuno” and wife’ Letha of Camp Wood, Jose A. Sosa, Juan A. Sosa, Leo Flores and wife; Sabrina all of Uvalde, Louis Martinez and wife; Esperanza of Batesville, four daughters; Yvette M. Sosa, Yvonne L. Sosa both of Camp Wood, Sonya S. Vasquez and husband; Jesse of Kerrville, Jackie Garcia Sosa of Uvalde, one brother; Hector R. Sosa and wife; Janie of Austin, two sisters; Aida Sosa Menchaca and husband; Mario of Carrizo Springs, Vicky Sosa Valencia of San Antonio, one uncle; Victor De Leon Ruiz and wife; Aurora of Uvalde. 28 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Devin Saiz, Jose Sosa both of Uvalde, Ruben Balderas of Houston, Elijah Sosa of Kerrville, Louis Arellano of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Jaime Rodriguez, Darrell Deason both of Uvalde, Louis Martinez of Carrizo Springs, Javiel Sosa, Hector Sosa both of Austin, Jay Vasquez of Boerne, Dan Pruneda of San Antonio.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Andrea Ruiz Sosa and Juan M. Sosa Sr., one brother; Ruben R. Sosa, one sister; Stella Sosa Pruneda, one granddaughter; Jacquie Martinez, one uncle; Ben Carbajal, one aunt; Irene Carbajal.
