Lois Mae Smith
Lois Mae Smith, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, while under the compassionate care of Heart of Hospice.
Lois was born on July 5, 1943, in La Pryor, Texas, to Hal Mangum Smith and Lula Mae McCullough Smith.
She was a devoted stay-at-home mother who dedicated her life to caring for her family. Lois found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, quilting, antique shopping, and never turned down a bowl of ice cream or her favorite sweets. Her warm heart, loving spirit, and the memories she created with her family will be treasured always.
She is survived by her children: Victor Darren Dube of La Pryor, Texas; Cheryl Dube King of Zapata, Texas; Tracy Dube of La Pryor, Texas; Jason Dube of La Pryor, Texas; and Eric Dube of La Pryor, Texas and a very dear friend Willie Stoner.
She also leaves behind twelve beloved grandchildren: Roxann Dube Gutierrez, Savannah Dube Martinez, Lauren King Leduc, Brandi King Villarreal, Victor Ryan King, Shane Dube, Hope Dube, Hannah Dube, Haden Dube, Arnold Dube, Bradley Dube, and Brandon Dube, along with numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Lois will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and the gentle, caring presence she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 9:00 A.M at La Pryor Cemetery.
Preceded in death by parents and two brothers Milton Smith and Bill Smith.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
