Our Ms.Loren is loved, admired and appreciated ! She shall be missed everyday by the many lives she touched with her smile, laughter, song, dance and loving spirit .
Loren entered our doors at I’m Just a Kid willing to teach any and all our children. This last year she spent 8 hours a day guiding our “terrific twos”. She allowed them to be independent even when being so created a mess, for she understood that children are “just kids” and to learn they must try. Wiping noses, singing our potty song and of course many hugs and kisses. Teaching is demanding and our Ms.Loren did so with dignity, respect and kindness every day,
Our babies will miss her, our families too, and her colleagues will carry her in their hearts. One of our littles asked her mom and dad “Where is Ms.Loren?’, her mom was at a loss for words, and daddy said “she is heaven teaching all the little children”; they needed her...
Ms.Loren meant a lot to me professionally, personally, and spiritually, After 40 years as an early childhood professional I knew when I first met her in 2016 that she and I were meant to teach together. Initially Loren declined my offer of employment due to our lack of ability to meet her financial needs.
We ended that conversation with acknowledgement that someday we would be together.
Since that day we continued contact and short after she came to teach at our school. She ventured out again but then returned with a promise and commitment to grow with us. As educators our teaching is a mission....
In the last two years we shared our philosophies, our work ethic was so similar, and our LOVE of life identical.
In the mornings she took the time to sing along to our Beatles favorites, and ALWAYS took the time to check on me. We often talked about all the things WE were going to do together for children ❤️. Our God had different plans and I know she is now teaching our little angels 👼. I have no words to express our emotions.
I do however know that today, and the rest of my days, I will live even more fully the love our Ms.Loren worked hard to share with your children, our children. I will also work diligently to be POSITIVE and “let go” of everything else.
On behalf of all the children and families you served- especially at I’m Just a Kid, colleagues you modeled for , and your family you will be forever in our hearts and OUR Ms.Loren ... you will be missed here on Earth !
