Lydia H. Velasquez, age 66 of Uvalde, Texas passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 in Uvalde, Texas. Lydia H. Velasquez was born in Uvalde, Texas on August 11, 1955 to Cruz Hernandez Sr. and Frances Aguirre. She is preceded in death by both parents; Cruz Hernandez Sr. and Frances Aguirre Hernandez, brothers; Raul Hernandez, Arturo Hernandez, Rene Hernandez.
Lydia H. Velasquez will be missed most by her loving husband, Domingo T. Velasquez Jr. of Uvalde, Texas, son; Arnold (Samantha) Velasquez of La Feria, Texas, daughters; Roxanne (Nicolas Paz) Velasquez, Tanya (Pablo Larralde III) Velasquez, Dominique Velasquez all of Uvalde, Texas, brother, Cruz “Sone” Hernandez Jr. , Alfredo Hernandez both of Uvalde, Texas, sister, Minerva Gonzales of Uvalde, Texas,11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home-Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home-Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
A Mass of Christian burial will also be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 28, 2021 Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, HWY 90 @527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas
