Maria Diana Castro, 76 of Uvalde died Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her residence in Uvalde.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. A Graveside Service set for Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Cemetery. Interment to Follow.
She was born on July 12, 1947 in Uvalde to Magdalina Garcia and Manuel Hernandez.
She is survived by her two sons; Gilbert H. Castro Jr. and wife; Rosa, Robert H. Castro and wife; Deborah all of Uvalde, two daughters; Anna Castro, Angela Gomez and husband; Alejandro all of Uvalde, two brothers; Jesse Hernandez, Guadalupe Garcia and wife; Maria all of Uvalde, two sisters; Elida Cabral and husband; Larry, Maria Vara all of Uvalde. 22 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be; Gilbert Castro Jr., Robert Castro both of Uvalde, Joshua Castro of Germany.
Pallbearers will be; Arfaxad Castro, Noah Castro, Richard Rubio all of San Antonio, Timothy Castro, Matthew Castro, Moises Castro, Job Gomez, Benjamin Morales all of Uvalde.
She is preceded in death by both parents; Magdalina Garcia Hernandez and Manuel Hernandez, husband; Gilberto Castro Sr., three brothers; Jose Luis “Wicho” Vara, Billy Garcia, Joaquin Garcia, one son; Silvestre Castro, one daughter; Sandy Castro Rodriguez, one brother-in-law; Jesse Prado.
