Maria Ermelinda (Molly) Donato, age 76, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. Maria was born on September 11, 1944 in Uvalde, TX to Ysidaro and Dominga Lopez. She and Enrique Donato shared 47 years together.
Maria was a devoted housewife. The love she showed her kids and grandkids could only be matched by the love she had for her dogs and love birds. Maria’s favorite color was blue and was a very special lady whom everyone loved to be around with.
Maria is survived by her husband: Enrique Donato of Kermit, TX;
sons: Homer Ruiz Jr. and wife Diana of Gainesville, VA., Daniel Ruiz and wife Lisa of Uvalde, TX., and Rene Ruiz and wife JoAnne of D’Hanis, TX.;
daughters: Noemi Donato of Kermit, TX., and Norma Hinojos and husband Tim of Uvalde, TX.;
brothers: Isidro Lopez and Arturo Flores, both of Uvalde, TX, Jessie Garcia and wife Josie of Uvalde, TX, Celedonio Garcia of San Antonio, TX, Frank Garcia and wife Linai of Ft Worth, TX, and David Flores and wife Anita of Racine, WI;
sisters: Virginia Barns of Universal City, TX, Gloria Canales and Esmeralda Garcia, both of Uvalde, TX;
grandchildren: Michael Anthony Orona, Anita Elexis Jones and husband Cody, Alina Marie Wren and husband Dustin, Alejandra Rachel Orona and boyfriend Mateo Morales, Diego Antonio Donato, Jadynn Grace Hinojos, Mia Andie Hinojos, Jianali Faith Ruiz, Jose Roberto Ruiz, Rene Ruiz Jr. and wife Jade, Rickie Sotero Ruiz and wife Elizabeth, Homero Ruiz III, Andrea Alicia Hanus and husband Timothy, Eli Ruiz, Karen Melinda Ruiz, Bobby Joe De La Garza, Daniel Ruiz, Jr and wife Machaela, and Danikka Ruiz;
great-grandchildren: Navaeh Charmain Jones, Jazon Wren, Cataleya Estella Morales, Amira Garcia, Raul Rene Ruiz, Maddox Ruiz, Abram Ruiz, Leilan, Ruiz, Devin Zamora, Abrian Alvarado, Aubriana Alvarado, and Azriel Ace Dela Garza.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents: Ysidaro and Dominga Lopez; brother: Jose Noel Flores; and grandchildren: Malia Delia Ruiz, Malaki Joaquin Ruiz, and Baby Timothy Hinojos.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 3, 2020
