Maria Mercedes Gutierrez was born in Houston, Texas on September 30, 1929 to parents; Narciso Gutierrez and Maria Del Refugio Garcia-Gutierrez. She is preceded in death by her daughters; Maria Del Refugio Garcia, Josefa Garcia, sister; Maria Minerva Gutierrez.
Maria Mercedes Gutierrez will be missed most by her loving children, sons; Jose (Rosalinda) Gracia, Jesus Gracia all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Juan (Mary Ann) Gracia, Ricardo (Angelica) Gracia all of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; Juana Aurora (Alfredo) Garcia of San Jose, California, Minerva (Guadalupe) Amaya of Uvalde, Texas, Maria (Gerald) Garrett of Mississippi, Angelita (Rick) Morga of Austin, Texas, Lidia (Thouy) Saypanya of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Aurora (Lance Watson) Morga of Sacramento, California and 45-grandchildren.and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home-Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home-Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
A Mass of Christian burial will also be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas
Interment to follow at HWY 90 West @ 527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas
