Maria Angela Hernandez, 79 formally Uvalde died Monday May 27, 2024 at Coastal Palms Nursing and Rehabilitation in Portland, Texas.
A Visitation will take place Wednesday, May 29, 2024 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass set for Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on March 6, 1945 in Uvalde to Andrea Reyes and Benito Gonzales.
She is survived by her husband; Cesar Hernandez of Portland, three sons; Joe Anthony Hernandez and wife; Alicia of San Antonio, Cesar Hernandez Jr. and wife; Mari of Japan, Dennis and wife; Mary of Uvalde, daughter; Jennifer Hernandez Wood and husband; Scott of Portland, two sisters; Dora Mendoza and husband; Ruben , Mary Helen Reyes and husband; Michael all of Illinois. 11 grandchildren. 20 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be; Jaime Gracia of Aransas Pass, Dennis Hernandez Jr, Ariel “Poncho” Moncada, Mark Gonzales, Adrian Gonzales all of Uvalde, Joe Hernandez II of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by both her parents; Andrea Reyes Gonzales and Benito Gonzales, brothers; Benito Gonzales Jr., sisters; Lydia Garcia, Maria Herlinda Adams, grandson; Nicholas Rey Hernandez.
