Maria H. Rios' Obituary
Maria Hernandez Rios, 92 of Batesville died May 27, 2023 at her residence in Batesville.
Visitation will take place Friday, June 2, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial set Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Batesville and Interment will follow at Batesville Cemetery.
She was born on May 5, 1931 in Bryan to Eugenio Hernandez and Antonia Cortez.
She is survived by ten sons; Jose Alfredo wife Irma Rios, Fernando wife Rosa Rios, Natividad Jr. wife Estela Rios, Alonso Rios, Martin Rios, Hector wife Margie Rios, Jerardo wife Melissa Rios, Guadalupe Rios, Armando Rios, all of Batesville and Ramiro wife Melissa Rios of El Paso. Three daughters; Eliberta Grimaldo, Erma husband Antonio Galindo, Carmen husband David Gauna all of Batesville .She is also survived by 42-grandchildren, 48-great grandchildren, 17-great-great grandchildren and many numerous nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Juan Grimaldo, Gavino Galindo, Fernando Rios Jr., Juan Jose Rios all of Batesville, Hector Rios Jr. of Lubbock, Rocky Rios of Plainview
Maria is preceded in death by her husband Natividad Rios Sr., daughter Janie Rios, three grandchildren; Benito Rios, Natividad Rios III, Blanca Estela Rios, two brothers; Benito Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez three sisters; Paulita Lopez, Anita Aviles, Felicita Garibay parents; Eugenio Hernandez & Antonia Cortez-Hernandez, son-in-law Aquilino Grimalido.
