Maria Lorenza Velasquez, age 83 of Uvalde, Texas passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 in Uvalde, Texas. Maria Lorenza Velasquez was born March 18, 1936 to Francisco Valverde and Angelita Botello. She is preceded in death by both parents; Francisco Valverde and Angelita Botello Valverde, spouse Lazaro H. Velasquez, son, Alfredo Velasquez, daughter, Leticia Velasquez, brothers; Pedro Valverde and Miguel Valverde, sisters; Francisca Lopez, Isidra Tovar, San Juanita Valverde.
Maria Lorenza Velasquez will missed most by her sons; Francisco “Frank” Velasquez Sr. and Lazaro “Larry” Velasquez Jr., both of Uvalde, Texas, daughters; Lorena (Daniel) De Luna, Rachel (Danny Garza) Velasquez, Norma Galan, all of Uvalde, Texas, Janie (Jesus Barba) Velasquez, of Eagle Pass, Texas, Ramona Flores, of Brackettville, Texas, 29 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Devin Galan, Frank “Panchito” Velasquez Jr., Larry “Papo” Velasquez III, Arturo Aguirre, Daniel De Luna, Daniel “Danny” Flores, all of Uvalde, Texas, Frankie Velasquez, of Odessa, Texas, Jesus Barba Jr., of Eagle Pass, Texas.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., and Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will also be held both days, at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
Graveside Service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Lovers Lane, Uvalde, Texas at 10:00 A.M.
