Melba Reyes Castillo, 68 of Uvalde died Sunday May 14, 2023 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio.
Visitation will take place Wednesday May 24, 2023 and Thursday May 25, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M for both days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday May 26, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on September 06, 1954 in San Diego, Texas to Jose G. Reyes and Evangelina Cuellar.
She is survived by her Four Sons; Ricardo Castillo Jr. and Wife Zwanyka of La Pryor, Texas, Jose Carlos Castillo of Uvalde Texas, Roberto Castillo and wife Julie of Friendswood, Texas, Jesus Castillo and wife Rachel of Uvalde, Texas,; One Daughter; Sonia Ochoa of Uvalde, Texas.; Four Brothers; Domingo Reyes of Del Rio, Texas, Ruben Reyes and wife Gloria of Uvalde, Texas, Raymond Reyes and Rosa of Del Rio, Texas, and Daniel Reyes of Uvalde, Texas; Five Sisters; Eloisa Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas, Alma Reyes of Uvalde, Texas, Antonia Pena and husband Manuel of Spofford, Texas and Sylvia Ramirez and husband Manuel of Uvalde, Texas and Rebecca Flores and husband Mario of Uvalde, Texas. Twenty-One Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Luis Ochoa, Aciel Ochoa, Jesus Castillo Jr., Karloz Castillo, Kaleb Castillo, Daniel Ochoa all of Uvalde, Ruben Sanchez, Jose Sanchez of Friendswood.
Honorary Pallbearers; Liam Ochoa, Jacobi Ochoa, Marcos Leos, Miguel Mariscal, Johnny Castillo, Jesus Castillo, Jaxon Gutierrez, and Raiden Ochoa all of Uvalde, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Ricardo Castillo Sr.; Son Robert C. Castillo; both parents; Jose G. Reyes and Evangelina Cuellar; Brothers Jose Reyes Jr., and Arturo Reyes.
