Melinda Aguirre's Obituary
Melinda Aguirre, 63, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones, the 19th of January, 2026. Melinda was born in the summer of 1962 to esteemed parents, Camillo H Aguirre and Gloria C Aguirre.
Melinda was native to Uvalde where she attended Benson Elementary, Uvalde Junior High and was a 1981 honors graduate of Uvalde High School. In her adult life, she worked in service of others. Melinda's career path sent her to Kerrville, Texas where she worked as a psychiatric aide at Kerrville State Hospital. After, a decade, she found her calling aiding in the rehabilitation of offenders. After several years, she began a career as a preschool teacher having stated that it was the most rewarding time where she helped mold young minds.
Melinda had 5 siblings; of the 5, she lovingly welcomed numerous nieces and nephews whom she often helped care for.
She was an avid animal lover. She was known for her philanthropic efforts, donating to various local charities that provided care to strays. She was a member of the Garner Field Road Baptist Church for many years. In her latter years, she moved to Jersey Shore, Pa, where she Was a Member Calvary Baptist Church. She lived out the rest of her days with her sisters. She was a lively and loving soul, with an infectious laugh and brilliant smile. She cared deeply for her family, friends and of course, her feline companions.
Melinda is preceded to our Heavenly Father by her parents, Camillo H Aguirre and Gloria C Aguirre, brother, Camillo H Aguirre Jr, sister, Elsa A Rodriguez, Niece and God daughter, Amanda A Ybarra.
She is survived by her Brother, Jesse Aguirre (Diana) of San Antonio, Texas, Sister, Elizabeth Page of Jersey Shore, Pa, twin sister, Belinda A Peña, also of Jersey Shore, Pa along with numerous nieces and nephews.
