Mercedes R. Guzman age 79 of Uvalde, Texas passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Uvalde, Texas. Mercedes R. Guzman was born on August 16, 1942 in Ignacio Allende, Durango, Mexico to Natividad Rodriguez and Virginia De La Rosa Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years; Santiago Guzman, son; Arturo R. Guzman, brothers; Jesus Gonzalez, Reyes Rodriguez, Eugenio Rodriguez, Ernesto Rodriguez, father; Natividad Rodriguez, mother, Virginia De La Rosa.
Mercedes R. Guzman will be missed most by her loving sons; Jorge Luis Guzman of Pharr, Texas, Jimmy Abiel (Monika) Guzman of Leander, Texas, Michael Anthony Garcia of Uvalde, Texas, daughter; Maggda (Filiberto) Reyna of Uvalde, Texas, brother, Manuel (Elisa) Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas, grandchildren; Kassandra Rodriguez, Melissa De Los Santos both of Uvalde, Texas, Arturo R. Guzman Jr., Amanda Guzman both of Angleton, Texas, Ashely Guzman of San Antonio, Texas, Eryn Acevedo, Jacob Guzman both of Leander, Texas, 22-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 and Wednesday, December 8, 2021 both days at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Ft. Clark Rd., Uvalde, Texas.
Interment to Follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, HWY 90 West @527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas.
