Minerva Gonzalez Martinez, 80 of Uvalde died Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her residence in Castroville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service is set for Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on March 13, 1943 in Pearsall to Maria Harris and Natividad Gonzalez.
She is survived by her five sons; John Martinez and wife; Sonia of Castroville, Ernest Martinez, Joel Martinez and wife; Gloria all of San Antonio, Daniel Martinez and wife; Geneva, Josh Martinez and wife; Erica all of Uvalde, two daughters; Sylvia Martinez, Rebecca Martinez both of Castroville, one brother; James Mancha and wife; Adela of Denver City. 21 grandchildren. 10 great grandchildren. 2 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by both parents; Maria Harris Gonzalez and Natividad Gonzalez, husband; Enrique Corona Martinez, one daughter-in-law; Nora Martinez, one son-in-law; Stephen Martinez.
