Narciso Gomez's Obituary

Mr. Narciso C. Gomez entered into eternal peaceful rest on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Gomez was born on April 4, 1939 to Mr. Ignacio and Mrs. Sofia C. Gomez and raised in Brackettville, Texas. Mr. Gomez was one of fourteen children and was a graduate of Brackett High School.
In 1957, Mr. Gomez enlisted and proudly served as a Corporal in the elite United States Marine Corps. After the Marine Corps, he resided in San Antonio and worked as a Civil Service employee at Fort Sam for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dancing, friends at the VFW, watching his favorite Texas sports teams and lived strong in his Catholic faith through God’s love.
Mr. Narciso C. Gomez is precedent in death by his parents, Ignacio and Sofia C. Gomez; Brothers: Enrique (Henry), Jose (Joseph), Robert Gomez; Sisters: Elvidia G. Hinds, Oralia G. Ramirez, Delia G. Smith; Nephews: Ernest Gomez Jr., Ruben Gomez, Steve Gomez, Jesse Ramirez Jr.; Inlaws: James Hinds, Horace W. Smith, Andy Webdell, Alice Gomez, Sue Gomez
Mr. Narciso C. Gomez is survived by his family, Brothers; Arnulfo (Maco) Gomez and Alfred Gomez; Niece, Debra Longoria; Niece, Claudette Longoria and Great Nephew, Stephen Longoria; Siblings: Ernest Gomez (Eleanor), Mary Talamantez (Flavio), Virginia DelaRosa (Ignacio), Cristoval Gomez (Jane), Mary Grace Webdell; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 5th, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Brackettville, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Brackettville, Texas.
Interment will conclude at St. Mary’s Magdalene Catholic Cemetery with U.S. Marine Corps rendering military honors.
Followed by a Celebration of Life at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church-Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Narciso C. Gomez requested support and donation to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign or American Valor Foundation (Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit).
