Olivia Ibarra's Obituary
Olivia Gonzalez Ibarra, 79 of Uvalde died Friday September 23, 2022 at son residence in San Antonio.
Direct cremation to follow.
She was born on April 25, 1943 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Olivia Cortinas and Fernando Gonzalez.
She is survived by one son; Bowie Valeriano Ibarra and wife; Dinhora of San Antonio, three grandchildren; Gwendolyn Maya Ibarra, of Boston, Alfonso Isaac Martinez, Claudia April Martinez both of San Antonio. One great grandchild; Liliana Mae Ramirez of San Antonio, one sister in law; Molly Gonzalez of Rio Frio, two brother in laws; Martin Ibarra of Uvalde, Francisco Ibarra of Eagle Pass, husband; Jose Garcia of Castroville.
She is preceded in death by both parents; Olivia Cortinas Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez, late husband; Valeriano Bowie Ibarra, one daughter, one brother; Carlos Gonzalez.
After Graduation of Leakey High School, Olivia worked briefly at White Auto; her working carrier continued at UCISD for 38 years; holding various positions. At Retirement, she worked for SWTJC for 7 years and part time with Sacred Heart Catholic School for 4 years. She also volunteered for 15 years at Uvalde Memorial Hospital as well as the Clinic. She was also the money counter at Sacred Heart Church for many years.
Olivia loved to travel and did so with both of her husbands, friends, and relatives. She visited most of the United States and visited Europe including parts of Italy and Spain.
