Oscar Rodriguez, age 78, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1946, in Mexico to the late Mauricia Rivera and Victor Rodriguez.
Oscar was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Lou Rodriguez of San Antonio; his daughter Christina Mesa and her husband Christopher Mesa; his cherished grandchildren, Michael Meda and Neveah Mesa, all of San Antonio.
Oscar worked for many years as a machine operator on a golf course, where he found great pride and peace in his work. He loved mowing the lawn, spending time with his beloved animals, browsing the stores, and listening to music. An avid fisherman, he never missed an opportunity to cast a line and enjoy the calm of the outdoors.
He was a man of faith and a devoted Catholic. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Oscar will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and love for simple pleasures. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
